A GAME WITHIN A GAME:
There’s a broad variety of jobs featured in Handyman Corporation – ranging from repairing home appliances, to eliminating electrical hazards, to refurbishing entire apartments into liveable spaces. Whatever you decide to get your hands dirty with, each task is accompanied by a specific minigame governed by its own rules. Your tools and unlocked character skills determine how easy the puzzle will be to solve, but of course nothing beats good old practice! Don’t forget that your clients’ patience is limited Soon after, you will advance to more complex and rewarding tasks.

EXPAND YOUR BUSINESS:
As you secure an income for your handyman business, don’t forget to look after its finances and manage any other costs alongside buying equipment and training. Your employees will be able to complete lots of jobs for additional income.

  • You will be challenged by more than 66 unique feelings (each with a different effect), along with poverty and other wordly troubles. Hundreds of cards represent the complex psyche of your artist’s mind, and life in Nova Oportunia, the city known as the capital of contemporary art.
  • All these artistic, amusing, horrible or lustful details of life are represented as lovingly painted cards that can be combined, collected, talked or thought about, visited, read or interacted and so on, resulting in a vast diversity of results, creating new cards and new opportunities of interaction. The creation of this game was inspired by a cult classic of similar format, but different vibes.
  • Life of the artist is not easy. Poverty, physical ailments, sanity loss and other challenges regularly result in permadeath (a variety of permadeaths, beginning with dying to disease and ending with drinking oneself to death), followed by a tactful overview of your life (often miserable, addiction-fuelled, yet passionate) and legacy.
  • During your life, unpleasant feelings will evolve from bad to worse if not dealt with. You will have to battle conditions like frustration, anxiety, anger, guilt, sadness, suicidal thoughts, and multitudes of other issues, including habits, addictions and temptations of various kind.
  • As an artist, you can paint your sufferings into spectacular masterpieces, or counter them with pleasant feelings such as love, pure delight or peace. If all else fails, you can always seek solace in the Bar Avenue establishments, hoping to drown the bleak thoughts in drink or more exotic soothments. Roguelite fans may enjoy the iron person mode. The game is illustrated by both human and AI artists, and includes 2275 unique tech-generated oil paintings (refrenced on historic 19th century art, which is in the public domain, for everyone to use freely). These illustrate the paintings you create and the thousands of little stories that make up every run.
  • You may win numerous minor victories and a selection of grand victories. To win the grand victory, you must create a painting that will change the world.
  • As your life evolves, unravels and expands in Nova Oportunia, life-changing secrets, ideas and experiences reach you. These can be thought about, developed, and in time, turned into the paintings that will change the world for thousands or millions of people, leaving a truly majestic legacy of your life.

  • World: Nemea Town, where cherry trees bloom all year round. Shatolla, a seaside town home to a bustling tavern. Lethe Village, resplendent in the vibrant colours of the four seasons. The Holy Capital of Argene, cloaked in snow. Use the world map to travel to all these settlements and their respective dungeons. You will have to traverse beautiful, treacherous paths to reach the Seaslights – four giant crystals that govern the seasons.
  • Daily Life: Grow fruit, vegetables and crops in your fields to either sell or use as crafting materials. If you use the produce you’ve grown in your cooking, the food will grant extremely helpful effects for your adventures, such as HP recovery or temporary stat boosts! It might also be a good idea to take care of some plump cluffowl birds, dignified goat-like woolum, and a pet totokaku.
  • Allies: Shrika, a missionary searching for a new form of faith. Heine, a pompous gentleman mechanic.Asyl, descendent of the Wind poem people. And Aria, a mysterious girl who claims to have come from the future. Cooperate with – and sometimes clash with – your allies, including these characters among others. Reach a deeper mutual understanding by facing their worries and their way of life head on.
  • Combat: Overcome battles by switching seamlessly between jobs during combat – including the Fighter, adept with swift sword techniques, the Shadow Walker, which deals critical wounds with twin blades, or the Mage, specialising in magic attacks. When faced with a mighty foe, skilfully target their weak points to inflict the Double Break state and take them down in an instant!
